The ALERT I.T. system was developed
by ACSYS BSC Sp. z o.o. software specialists, with the
use of products supplied by Memex Technology Ltd., i2
Ltd. (British companies), Stellent Inc., Convera
Technologies International Ltd. (American companies).
The system is used to support criminal analysis in law
enforcement community including police, government
agencies, customs, financial police, army and in public
sector, including banks, insurance or telecommunication.
The ALERT system features algorithms
providing integration and visualization of large amounts
of data originated from different sources. The data is
then processed using analytical tools in order to
identify regularities. Basic analytical modules
developed by i2 specialists support ANACAPA criminal
analysis methodology, which is a recognized world
standard.
The ALERT system features a modular
construction. It is a suite of integrated programs. Each
of the programs allows you to solve different groups of
problems and to carry out tasks characteristic for
individual organizations. The modular approach allows
for:
-
the possibility to
configure the system to provide complete functionality
required by a given group of users;
-
scalability, which
enables to tailor the system to the needs of both small
and nationwide organizations;
-
the possibility of
phased implementation, starting with the modules
providing vital analytical functionality which enables
the users to carry out basic analytical tasks and then
gradually expanding the system with new modules and
workstations to address growing needs of the users;
-
the possibility to
expand the functionality of the system as the response
to the progress of I.T. technology related to criminal
analysis.
Below please find the schematic
diagram which shows individual modules of the system and
their interrelations.

The table below includes the
specification of the modules and description of their
